AWS Malware Detection Expert

We are looking for an experienced AWS Malware Detection Expert to join our Malware Detonation team at Amazon. As a key member of this team, you will play a vital role in developing and maintaining the core threat intelligence for AWS cloud security.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer science or a related field, with at least 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience. They will also have experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including reliability and scaling.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing complex security services for AWS, managing on-call duties once every 2-3 months for a week, providing mentorship to junior engineers, supporting other team members in reviews, and fostering innovation and handling ambiguous problems.
We offer a competitive salary range of $129,300/year - $223,600/year, depending on your location. In addition to your base pay, you will also receive equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation as part of your total compensation package.
About the Role:
- Design and implement complex security services for AWS.
- Manage oncall duties once every 2-3 months for a week.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
- Support other team members in reviews.
- Foster innovation and handle ambiguous problems.
About the Team:
The Malware Detonation team is responsible for detecting unauthorized, malicious, or anomalous activity in a customer's AWS environment. Our team uses various Machine/Deep Learning algorithms to build large-scale distributed data systems and enrich the detection capability for AWS services and customers.
