Our client, a prominent player in the FinTech sector, is seeking to fill the position of Senior Backend Java Engineer.
The ideal candidate will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of their Web API platform, which currently facilitates access to essential real-time services for third parties, clients, and internal applications critical to daily operations.
As a key member of the Web portal team, you will play a significant role in shaping the future of the platform and will have numerous opportunities for professional growth.
Work Arrangement:This is a hybrid position, requiring three days in the office and two days of remote work.
Compensation:
Salary range: $225k-$240k
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with business and internal teams to introduce new features and interfaces as needed.
- Develop documentation, unit tests, and regression tests for new interfaces.
- Create backend services and/or clients to expose internal services effectively.
- Provide third-level support as required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or a related discipline. Proven experience as a Java Developer with a strong command of Java, Spring Boot, and Vert.x. Proficiency in Git for version control and collaboration. Solid understanding of RESTful web services with experience in their design and implementation. Familiarity with JUnit or other testing frameworks for unit and integration testing. Comprehensive knowledge of software development principles and best practices. Experience with WebSockets and real-time communication in a Java environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach. Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with industry trends. Familiarity with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS) is advantageous. Previous experience with agile development methodologies is a plus. Self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks with minimal supervision. Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
