Position Overview
The Chief Operations Officer (COO) at VNA of Care New England is tasked with ensuring the seamless, effective, and efficient functioning of the organization. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality services that are financially sustainable, compliant with regulatory standards, and responsive to the needs of patients, their families, healthcare providers, the community, and staff.
Public Representation
The COO represents VNA of Care New England to the community and collaborates with various health service organizations and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
- Foster strong collaboration with VNA staff, CNE Systems, physicians, and leadership.
- Implement an integrated service delivery approach aligned with CNE VNA's mission and core values.
- Oversee the development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational standards.
- Contribute to the strategic planning of VNA, establishing both short-term and long-term objectives to ensure growth and service provision to the community.
- Coordinate effectively with VNA staff and physicians to meet the clinical needs of patients.
- Work alongside the Kent Hospital President & CEO to identify cost-reduction strategies, enhance revenue, achieve operational integration, and ensure quality patient care.
- Maintain accountability through a structured framework of goals, expectations, and performance metrics that incentivize employee performance.
- Develop innovative business strategies to expand market share and enhance overall performance.
- Participate in essential committee meetings as required.
Qualifications
Successful candidates will possess:
- Exceptional leadership capabilities.
- Advanced persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities, along with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry's current landscape.
- Proficient problem-solving and financial acumen.
- The ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
Education
A Master's degree is required, along with a minimum of ten years of experience in a leadership role within healthcare administration. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
