Position Overview: Senior Financial Analyst

Pay Rate: $50.00 / hour

We are collaborating with a prominent Pharmaceutical Manufacturing organization to identify a Senior Financial Analyst. Below is the detailed description of the role.

Essential Qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst:

#1. A seasoned finance expert with over five years of experience in a product-driven enterprise or a professional services organization.

#2. Proficient in SAP, BEX Analyzer, and BW reporting frameworks.

#3. Exceptional skills in Excel.

Key Responsibilities of the Senior Financial Analyst:

The Senior Financial Analyst will be a vital member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, responsible for preparing, validating, and analyzing both local and corporate management reports while supporting various annual and quarterly financial planning initiatives (e.g., budgeting and forecasting). Additionally, this role involves assisting FP&A managers with diverse financial modeling tasks and collaborating with other departments within the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Senior Director of Financial Planning and Analysis.

  • Generate monthly sales, gross margin, and P&L reporting packages compared to budget and previous year, while aiding in variance explanations.
  • Engage in the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecasts for Sales, Cost of Sales, Gross Margin, and overall Profit & Loss Statements.
  • Assist FP&A managers in crafting financial models and analyses to enhance collaboration with departments such as Sales, Marketing, and Operations.
  • Facilitate the creation, distribution, and upkeep of reporting tools like management dashboards and Balanced Scorecards.
  • Conduct analysis and data mining using SAP and the BEX reporting tool.
  • Support the maintenance of essential financial master data in SAP, including Cost Centers, Cost Elements, Internal Orders, and WBS project codes.
  • Undertake special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required.
Qualifications for the Senior Financial Analyst:
  • Experienced finance professional with over five years in a product-oriented company or professional services firm.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, analyses, and projects with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in working independently with a high degree of accuracy and productivity.
  • Demonstrated capability to ask insightful questions and identify root causes of issues.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Experience with SAP, BEX Analyzer, and BW reporting frameworks.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel.
  • Finance/Accounting background with an MBA and/or CPA is advantageous.
Additional Key Requirements:
  • 1-year contract.
  • Hybrid work model, with in-office presence required 2-3 days per week.
  • Open to citizens or Green Card holders only.
