Perioperative Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Perioperative Assistant to join our team in the Operating Room. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patient care.

The Perioperative Assistant will work under the supervision of registered professional nurses and charge nurses, assisting with patient transportation, positioning, and transfer as needed. Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining inventory levels of specified stock items in the Operating Room according to established guidelines.
• Assisting nursing staff in the rooms as needed, including turning, moving anesthetized patients, holding extremities for surgical prep, gathering equipment, etc.
• Performing between-case cleaning to minimize turnaround time between surgical procedures.
• Checking status of stretchers to ensure they are ready and available for patient transport.

• Good physical dexterity and ability to communicate effectively.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
• Satisfactory references and CPR training.

$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
