Advanced Practice Provider

Seattle Children's seeks a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct care and assume primary responsibility for the clinical management of patients in ambulatory, operating room, emergency department, and inpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain patient histories, perform physical examinations, order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and develop treatment plans.
- Direct or participate in case management and continuing care.
- Collaborate, refer, and consult with department attending physicians, specialists, and other members of the health care team to deliver effective, efficient, safe, and high-quality care.
- Contribute to organizational and departmental continuous performance and quality improvement projects.
- Participate in education and research efforts for patients, families, and the health care team.
- Master's degree in nursing with a concentration in a pediatric or family nurse practitioner program (for NPs) or graduate of a nationally accredited physician assistant program (for PAs).
- Active, unencumbered registered nurse and advanced registered nurse practitioner licensure in the State of Washington (for NPs) or active, unencumbered physician assistant licensure in the State of Washington (for PAs).
- Current national certification as a pediatric or family nurse practitioner (for NPs) or initial certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (for PAs).
- Active Drug Enforcement Authority registration.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Professionals or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Two years of experience in an advanced practice provider role.
- Two years of experience in pediatric healthcare.
