Conservation Easement Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Conservation Easement Steward to join our team at Genesee Land Trust. The successful candidate will work closely with our conservation programs team to ensure the effective management of our conservation easements.

• Conduct field visits to monitor conservation easements and document existing conditions.
• Build relationships with private landowners and community partners through regular communications.
• Develop outreach materials focused on farmland and land management topics to share with conservation easement landowners.
• Support Genesee Land Trust staff on land management, program, and event projects as needed.

• Strong interest in conservation and the outdoors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and represent Genesee Land Trust in a friendly and positive way.
• Familiarity with conservation easements and surveys is a plus.
• Familiarity with agriculture and ecology of western New York is a plus.
• Valid driver's license and personal vehicle for travel around the region.

• Competitive salary range of $45,000-$49,000.
