We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Sonographer to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing echocardiography procedures and providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Perform all established echocardiography procedures, communicating with patients and addressing their questions and concerns.
- Recognize sonographic characteristics of normal and abnormal tissue, structures, and blood flow, adjusting scanning techniques to optimize image quality and spectral waveform.
- Analyze sonographic findings throughout the examination to ensure a comprehensive exam is complete and sufficient data is provided to the physician for a final diagnosis.
- Initiate additional scanning techniques or administer contrast agents as indicated by the examination.
- Work in partnership with other healthcare professionals to provide the best medical care possible for all patients.
- Perform stress echo testing when needed.
- Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography program, RDS eligible or registered.
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer.
- Minimum of 2 years of cardiac/echo sonographer experience.
- Basic Life Support Certification.
