About This Role:
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate a variety of heavy machinery to load and unload cargo from vessels in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Conduct thorough pre-job inspections and maintain regular equipment maintenance to prevent accidents and ensure optimal performance.
  • Manage transloading activities securely, adhering to strict protocols to minimize risks and maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor and report any unsafe operations or behaviors to the production manager promptly.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and contribute to a positive work environment.

Requirements:
  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in an industrial setting.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of rig operations and maintenance practices.
  • Proficiency in operating heavy equipment and adapting to changing conditions.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to obtain a TWIC card.

Work Environment:
  • Physical Requirements:
  • This is a physically demanding role that requires regular lifting (over 50 lbs.), climbing, and other physical activities.
  • Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, gloves, and steel-toe boots.

Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive Hourly Rate: $30-$45 per hour, based on qualifications and experience.
  • Overtime pay (time and a half) after 40 hours per week.
