Key Responsibilities
  • Perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories.
  • Use manual or automated assembly tools to complete tasks.
  • Read and comprehend technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Apply sealant and coatings to surfaces per specifications.
  • Install various aircraft system components, including panel installs.
  • Operate mechanical lifts of various types, including ladders, tiger, and snorkel lifts.
  • Use various tools, such as rivet guns, screwdrivers, lock bolt pullers, power screwdrivers, and hand tools.
  • Work with chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes.
  • Inspect work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
  • Use high-impact vibratory tools, such as bucking and riveting.
  • Climb, balance, crawl, crouch, and work in confined spaces.
  • Work around energized sources, including electrical equipment and hazards.
  • Read from computer screens, printed drawings, or documents.
  • Adhere to high standards of safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Work in confined spaces and use respirators.
  • Carry and lift up to 10-35 pounds.
  • Perform various physical tasks, including flexion, extension, handling, kneeling, bending, reaching, rotation, standing, twisting, and walking.
Requirements
  • Ability to work in confined spaces.
  • Ability to qualify and use a respirator.
  • Ability to work a variable shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).
  • Ability to work with High Hazard Chemicals.
  • Proficiency with typical hand tools and high-impact vibratory tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience utilizing and following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
  • 7+ years of aviation experience.
