About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at MetroHealth Medical Center. As a member of our staff, you will have the opportunity to work with patients from diverse backgrounds and ages, helping them recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions.

Job Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating patients' physical abilities, developing personalized treatment plans, and providing one-on-one therapy sessions. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for our patients.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or post-graduate certificate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. A Physical Therapist licensure in the State of Ohio is also required, as well as current BLS certification. Membership in the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is preferred.

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk without assistance, and maintain balance while supporting patients during ambulation and gait training. You must also be able to lift and reach with arms sufficiently to assist patients with exercises, possess sensation of touch and manual dexterity to palpate muscle tension, and visual acuity to observe patients' gross movement. Clear communication skills are essential to instruct patients and families who may not be able to read, and hearing or understanding patients' descriptions of symptoms and responses to treatment is critical.

Work Environment

You will frequently perform tasks such as standing, sitting with and without back support, walking, reaching, crouching, balancing, lifting 5-25 pounds, carrying 5-10 pounds, and pushing up to 75 pounds. Occasionally, you may need to stoop, climb, lift or move 24-50 pounds, carry 10-25 pounds, and operate power tools and machinery.

Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. We offer a competitive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
