Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technologist to join our team at the University of Utah Health. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing specialized radiologic procedures involving the application of prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform CT and special procedures using CT scanners and angiographic high-pressure injectors.
  • Screen patients to eliminate potential problems with procedures.
  • Perform angiographic or special interventional procedures.
  • Complete and verify all requests, charges, and drug logs to maintain supplies and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Maintain the integrity of the equipment.
  • Assist in the reduction of waste by properly utilizing the resources and materials provided.
  • Approach management with proposed solutions to problems.
  • Ensure that new procedures and protocols are implemented.
  • Analyze images for quality.
  • Perform venipuncture, care of IVs, chest tubes, oxygen, and catheters.
  • Perform necessary radiology functions in programs PowerChart, Teletracking, RIS, and Epic for business.
  • Perform post-processing and image reconstruction.
  • Restock supplies when time allows.
Requirements
  • ARRT R.T. (CT) registration required within one (1) year of hire.
  • Current RQI Healthcare Provider eCredential through the University of Utah Health RQI system.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Radiologic Technologist in the State of Utah.
  • ARRT Registration as a Radiologic Technologist R.T. (R) (ARRT).
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) as a R.T. (CT) (ARRT).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands

This position involves intensive work that may exert up to 100 pounds and may consistently require lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, such as medical equipment, or patients while providing medical care.
