As a Maintenance Technician at Youth Villages, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities by installing, maintaining, and repairing machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems
  • Perform interior and exterior painting as needed
  • Ensure all work is completed in a safe and efficient manner
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and address maintenance needs
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failures

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in general maintenance
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Experience with running telephone and data lines, cubicle setup, and electrical, HVAC, and plumbing systems
  • Ability to work on-call every 6 weeks, including nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with painter, carpentry, electrical, and plumbing
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems and general maintenance practices
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment issues
