About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Michael Page. As a key member of our tenant interiors team, you will be responsible for leading multiple projects throughout the Chicagoland area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cultivate and Build Relationships

Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure successful project outcomes.

Ensure Project Financial Targets

Monitor and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure projects meet financial targets and are completed on time.

Lead and Mentor Project Teams

Recruit, train, and mentor project team members to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Contribute to a High-Performing Team Environment

Collaborate with team members to create a positive and productive work environment that fosters innovation, creativity, and growth.

Provide Effective Communication

Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and contractors, to ensure everyone is informed and aligned.

Ensure Project Team Alignment

Ensure project teams are aligned with the company's culture, values, and goals.

Provide Value Engineering Options

Identify opportunities to improve project efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance quality.

Analyze and Evaluate Subcontractor/Vendor Proposals

Assess subcontractor and vendor proposals to ensure they meet project requirements and are within budget.

Prepare Comprehensive Proposals

Develop and present comprehensive proposals to clients, including project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.

Create and Maintain Construction Schedules

Develop and maintain detailed construction schedules that incorporate input from project team members.

Perform Regular Project Site Walk-Throughs

Conduct regular site visits to ensure contract performance, safety compliance, and quality control.

Resolve Project Conflicts

Address and resolve project conflicts in a timely and professional manner.

Manage Permit Process

Oversee the permit process to ensure projects are compliant with local authorities and jurisdictions.

Oversee Accounting-Related Duties

Manage accounting-related tasks, including invoicing, collections, AP invoice approvals, contract issuance, and quarterly reporting.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering

A degree in construction management or civil engineering is required.

OSHA 10 Certification

OSHA 10 certification is required.

Minimum 5 Years Experience in Tenant Interior Construction

A minimum of 5 years of experience in tenant interior construction is required.

Strong Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Strong Management Skills

Strong management skills, including leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving, are required.

Highly Motivated and Results-Oriented
