We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians with procedures as needed, including setup and preparation of patients for invasive procedures.
- Monitor patients receiving I.V. sedation under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
- Inform the Radiologist/Technologist of any changes in the patient's condition.
- Administer medications and blood as ordered.
- Start saline locks and I.V.'s according to IVP/CT protocol.
- Catheterize patients in the department.
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- BSN preferred.
- Two years of hospital experience required.
- Basic EKG certification required.
- IV Therapy certification required.
- IV Medication course required.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- American Heart Association ACLS certified within six months of hire.
