Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Registered Nurse to join our team at HCA Houston Healthcare Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients undergoing interventional radiology procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians with procedures as needed, including setup and preparation of patients for invasive procedures.
  • Monitor patients receiving I.V. sedation under the direct supervision of the Radiologist.
  • Inform the Radiologist/Technologist of any changes in the patient's condition.
  • Administer medications and blood as ordered.
  • Start saline locks and I.V.'s according to IVP/CT protocol.
  • Catheterize patients in the department.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
  • Current Texas licensure with State Board of Nurse Examiners.
  • BSN preferred.
  • Two years of hospital experience required.
  • Basic EKG certification required.
  • IV Therapy certification required.
  • IV Medication course required.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification required.
  • American Heart Association ACLS certified within six months of hire.
