We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deli Department Manager to join our team at Philipsburg Hometown Market. As a Deli Department Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the deli department, including supervising staff, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and train deli staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
- Manage inventory and ordering to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize waste.
- Monitor sales and profit margins to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to increase sales and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Develop and implement effective training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with other department managers to achieve business objectives and improve overall store performance.
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a food service or food preparation capacity.
- Associates degree in business, retail, or related field preferred.
- Current ServSafe Certification or ability to acquire within three months of employment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Working Conditions
This position requires standing for long periods, bending, stooping, and reaching. The employee must be able to lift up to 50 pounds manually and work in a team environment. The employee must also be able to work in a variety of temperatures, including freezers and coolers.
