Microbiologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist to join our team. As a Microbiologist, you will be responsible for performing essential patient care processes involving moderate and high complexity testing.

• Performing laboratory tests and procedures to analyze and review testing results
• Recognizing and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure quality and safety
• Working in a fast-paced laboratory setting with biological and chemical hazards
• Promoting safety, compliance, and quality control

• Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or a related field
• 1 year of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing
• Certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or equivalent
• NYS Laboratory Licensed
• Proficient reading, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to operate various laboratory equipment

• 2+ years of laboratory training or experience in high complexity testing within a specialized area

Competitive hourly rate ranging from $38.00 to $55.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and potential geographic differentials. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings options, and a supportive community environment.
