A highly regarded rural health institution is on the lookout for a committed Chief of Perioperative Services RN to lead and supervise the operations of their surgical services. This position is within a respected 25-bed Critical Access Hospital, recognized nationally for its excellence in healthcare delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development, execution, management, and assessment of the department's financials, including both capital and operational budgets.
- Create a strategic plan for the department that aligns with the overall organizational goals.
- Ensure that daily operations are conducted in a safe, respectful, and progressive manner, which includes managing surgical processes, policies, and educational initiatives.
- Lead and mentor the quality improvement processes within surgical services while promoting shared governance.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards.
The Chief of Perioperative Services will manage multiple operating rooms, the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Endoscopy Services, and more. This role will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer and will oversee a team that includes operating room registered nurses, anesthesiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent experience, hold an active RN License, and have a minimum of 4+ years of leadership experience in surgical services.
