About the Role

Phaxis is seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team for the upcoming school year. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality educational support to students with diverse learning needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students.
  • Collaborate with general education teachers to ensure seamless integration of special education services.
  • Provide direct instruction and support to students in a variety of settings, including classrooms and small group settings.
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to student support.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  • Valid South Carolina teaching license with Special Education endorsement.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in special education and evidence-based instructional strategies.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working as a Special Education Teacher.
  • Familiarity with South Carolina state regulations and guidelines for special education.
