About the Opportunity
The UCLA Health Systems Biodesign Fellowship is a 1-year entrepreneurial opportunity for experienced professionals in medicine, nursing, engineering, design, and business. This program brings together a best-in-class interdisciplinary team to prototype and develop technologies to solve challenging healthcare needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with faculty from UCLA's Schools of Engineering, Business, and the David Geffen School of Medicine to learn a framework for clinical innovation and entrepreneurship.
- Participate in clinical immersion to identify meaningful clinical needs.
- Work alongside industry mentors to validate and develop ideas.
- Enjoy the support of UCLA Health's vast resources, including health IT support, data scientists, and state-of-the-art prototyping and fabrication facilities.
Requirements
- Background in engineering and computer science (MS/PhD), design (MS), business (MBA), nursing (MSN), or medicine (MD), or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience in product/software development, product design, or engineering preferred.
- Strong interest in technology development and a proven record of entrepreneurial activities highly desirable.
What We Offer
- Salary range: $68,800 to $141,100 Annually.
- 1-year contract, with potential for career advancement.
