Pipefitter Specialist

Industrial Trade Services seeks a skilled Pipefitter Specialist to join our team. This role involves laying out, fabricating, assembling, installing and maintaining piping systems, pipe supports, fixtures, and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for various applications.

• Selecting the type and size of pipe and related materials and equipment according to job specifications
• Inspecting the worksite to determine the presence of obstructions
• Planning the sequence of installation to avoid obstructions and activities of other workers
• Cutting pipe using various tools such as hacksaws, pipe cutters, hammers and chisels, cutting torches, and pipe cutting machines
• Threading pipe using threading machines
• Bending pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machines
• Mounting pipe hangers and brackets on walls and ceilings to hold pipes in place
• Assembling and installing various metal or non-metal pipes and pipe fittings using threaded, caulked, soldered, brazen, fused, or cemented joints, and hand tools
• Securing pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools
• Installing and maintaining refrigeration and air conditioning systems, including compressors, pumps, meters, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, and piping
• Testing piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indications of leaks
• Welding pipe supports to structural steel members

This is a full-time position with a competitive salary range of $35-$50 per hour, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 months documented field experience in the chosen craft discipline and be able to read and interpret instructions and documentation.
