Job Summary

The APP Surgical NCI provides high-quality patient care with a focus on disease prevention, health promotion, and health maintenance. This role involves working independently and collaboratively to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage, and evaluate patient care under the direct supervision of a surgeon. The APP functions as an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate, making patient rounds in hospitals and taking call as needed.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and treat patients under the supervision of a surgeon
Provide patient education and health resources
Collaborate with healthcare teams to manage patient care
Work independently and collaboratively to achieve patient outcomes

Qualifications

Three years of healthcare experience as an RN, APRN, or Physician Assistant (PA)
Master Degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Program
One of: NNP or PA AND One of: CSFA or SAC

Preferred Qualifications

Previous surgical experience
Doctorate Degree
Certified Surgical First Assistant or Certified Surgical Assistant
