Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing, taking into account their unique needs and abilities.
- Provide direct instruction and support tailored to the specific requirements of DHH students, utilizing specialized teaching strategies and resources to enhance communication and learning.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other specialists to create an inclusive educational environment that promotes academic and personal growth.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instruction and interventions as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support educational goals and address any concerns or issues that may arise.
- Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid teaching certification in Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and adaptability.
