Job Overview

D & G Machine Products, Inc., a leading provider of precision machining services, is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join our team in Westbrook, Maine.

As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for operating manual and machine tools to produce high-quality parts. Your attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently will enable you to excel in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Machining Operations: Operate manual and machine tools, including milling and turning machines, to produce precision parts.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve mechanical issues, making adjustments and repairs as needed.
  • Inspection: Verify products meet blueprint specifications.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; 2-year technical college degree preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in machine tool trade; knowledge of horizontal milling machines and proper use of measuring tools/gauges and cutting tools.
  • Skills: Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; ability to work on complex projects with general direction and minimal guidance.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
