Job Title: RN - Nursery Nights

Join Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester as a Registered Nurse on our Women's Services/Nursery team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care to our patients in the nursery. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
  • Perform plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Document patient care given.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Assist patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
  • Collaborate as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluate learning needs of patient and/or family and provide patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Work as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree required. Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Current and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee or compact license with the required forms filed with the State of Tennessee within 30 days.
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), within 30 days of hire
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire
  • NRP within 3 months of hire
  • STABLE within 6 months of hire
