About the Role:We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Direct Support Professional Caregiver to join our team. As a DSP, you will provide assistance and strategies to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible.
Key Responsibilities:- Transportation and support out in the community, including outings, field trips, medical appointments, and shopping
- Assist with daily living skills, including meal preparation and medication administration
- Provide guidance on developmental goals, such as community participation, household budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities
- Support individuals with living skills, such as personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Six months of experience in human services preferred
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Successful clearance of background checks
- Reliable and responsible attitude
- Compassionate approach and commitment to quality
- Full, part-time, and as-needed schedules available
