Key Responsibilities- Referral Management: Process assigned Central Intake referrals, procuring necessary documentation to support clean billing and ensuring timely reimbursement.
- Customer Service: Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills, responding to incoming calls, and providing information to referral sources regarding programs and services available to meet customers' needs.
- Authorization and Verification: Perform authorization and verification for identified product lines, entering required information into appropriate systems accurately and ensuring clean claims for timely reimbursement.
- Communication and Collaboration: Network and build relationships with facility staff, communicate with insurance payor case managers, and collaborate with billing agencies to ensure smooth delivery of services.
- Problem-Solving and Ownership: Take ownership of ensuring that delivery of services meets customer and referral source expectations, problem-solving with staff on pertinent patient referral issues, and utilizing tracking systems to follow up on pending cases.
- Education: High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs.
- Skills: Proficient in Google Space, strong customer service skills, and ability to lift a minimum of 10 lbs.
- Experience: One (1) or more years of healthcare experience, home care experience, and/or billing/insurance authorization experience.
