About the Role

Merrick & Company is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer III to lead our infrastructure design team in Albuquerque, NM or Los Alamos office. As a key member of our High Performance Facilities team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering sustainable solutions for national defense projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead civil design of infrastructure, site development, and environmental projects
  • Perform independent design ideation, drawings, and calculations
  • Organize CAD drawings and create project specifications and cost estimates
  • Provide quality review and peer design guidance
  • Assemble contract documents and supervise other civil staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited Program
  • Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.) or ability to obtain within six (6) months
  • Minimum eight (8) years' experience or equivalent education/experience
  • Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Department of Defense (DoD)/Department of Energy (DOE) government design projects
  • Federal Government security clearance or ability to obtain one
