The Role

We are seeking an Estimator to join our team in Nashville, working out of our office. As an Estimator, you will assist in developing the bid proposal process for the pre-construction team, demonstrating strong organizational skills, industry knowledge, and customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with clients, designers, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Manage the bid proposal process to determine scope of work for various projects
  • Provide expertise to bid-related presentations and proposals
  • Review proposal documents to determine scope of work and prepare estimates / bid proposals
  • Manage client expectations and subcontractor/vendor involvement throughout the proposal process
  • Assist in closing bid processes, including finalizing contract agreements and setting up costing reports
  • Support all areas of the business related to estimates and job-costing

Requirements

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team player
  • Working knowledge of contract documents, including specifications, drawings, and single-lines / schematics
  • Familiarity with construction and industry practices, processes, and standards
  • Ability to recognize errors or inconsistencies with project-related costs and scope
  • Strong professional communication (oral and written) and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Accubid estimating software experience is a plus
  • Good detail, orientation, and organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks/responsibilities and changing priorities as necessary
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing requirements
