Position Summary:

The Public Safety Officer is responsible for delivering exceptional service to property owners, guests, day visitors, contractors, and staff. This role involves greeting all guests warmly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere in both communal areas and private residences. Responsibilities include responding to alarms and emergencies, enforcing resort rules and regulations, and documenting all activities during shifts clearly and accurately. The position requires working scheduled shifts (48 hours) and may involve covering shifts at various times, including overnight and holidays.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with property owners, guests, and staff.
  • Assisting guests and residents with vehicle-related issues, including jump-starts and lockouts.
  • Providing a consistently high level of customer service.
  • Ensuring general safety throughout the resort.
  • Responding to medical emergencies and coordinating with local emergency services.
  • Utilizing resort and county communication systems effectively.
  • Adapting to a variety of dynamic situations.
  • Managing and resolving customer service issues escalated from other departments.
  • Enforcing resort regulations regarding roads, wildlife, and property.
  • Conducting investigations and writing reports on incidents.
  • Participating in regular training and meetings during work hours.
  • Additional responsibilities may include inspecting safety equipment and managing keys.

The expected pay range for this position is $21.35 per hour. Compensation decisions are made based on various factors.
