Residential Counselor

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Treatment Specialist to join our team at Safe Harbor Ohio. In this role, you will work closely with residents, staff, and community partners to provide a supportive and caring environment.

The estimated salary for this position is $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience.

• Teach and Model: Teach and model healthy relationships and connections for girls aged 14-18 under assigned supervision, creating a positive influence on their lives.
• Provide Structure and Nurture: Provide structure and nurture while using a trauma-minded approach, making sure each resident feels supported and cared for.
• Crisis Intervention: Utilize Safe Crisis Management (SCM) de-escalation and restraint techniques according to agency policy/procedures when needed, including safely restraining a child of any size.
• Safety Protocols: Maintain child and campus safety by providing support and supervision of residents at all times, including school hours, recreational time, and searching/chasing a runaway child.
• Treatment Planning: Collaborate with the entire team to incorporate individual interventions, treatment plans, and behavioral support plans, ensuring each resident receives personalized care.
• Documentation: Complete incident reports, logs, and other various forms according to licensing expectations, maintaining accurate records and meeting regulatory requirements.
