We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Coordinator to join our team at Overland Park Regional Medical Center. As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and coordination of all functions in the unit/department during the designated shift.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high-quality patient-centered care.
  • Participate in the ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care services provided in the unit, in collaboration with other members of the management team.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and other managers to create an environment of teamwork that supports improved outcomes and service.
  • Support a patient-first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
  • Support the efforts of the facility to improve engagement by operationalizing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other initiatives.
  • Provide recommendations related to interviewing, selecting, and training new staff. Recommend and implement courses of action, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy compliance, completion of performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary actions to ensure a competitively better organization.
  • Assist with staff scheduling. Manage all practical aspects of staff labor in accordance with patient care needs and established productivity guidelines.
  • Support proper inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
  • Registered Nurse Diploma.
  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
  • Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse in the state(s) of practice and/or has an active compact license, in accordance with law and regulation.
  • Activity in professional organizations encouraged.
  • Two (2) years of clinical practice in the clinical specialty of his/her unit and leadership/management experience is preferred.
Available Units:

Cardiac Tele, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, ICU, CV, ICU, Medical Surgical, Cardiac Specialty Unit.

Compensation and Benefits:

$41.15 per hour. Case by case basis for sign-on bonus. $5,000 relocation assistance. $4.00/Hr. for Nights & Weekends shift differential.
