About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Staff Psychologist to join our team at the Community Living Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine decision-making capacity and develop tailored care plans.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to residents, addressing a range of psychological and emotional needs.
  • Collaborate with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement effective care plans for residents with dementia and other cognitive impairments.
  • Offer education and support to staff members and family members on effective communication strategies, behavioral management techniques, and coping mechanisms.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds, case conferences, and care planning meetings to ensure coordinated and integrated care delivery.
Qualifications
  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and active license as a psychologist in any U.S. State or Territory.
  • Experience working with older adults, particularly those with dementia or cognitive impairments, is preferred.
  • Strong assessment and diagnostic skills, with the ability to evaluate decision-making capacity and provide appropriate recommendations.
  • Proficiency in individual and group counseling techniques, with a focus on evidence-based interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and support staff.
