The Pediatric Cardiology Program Coordinator plays a pivotal role in delivering exceptional patient experiences at UCSF Health. By serving as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare practitioners, this dedicated professional fosters seamless communication and ensures that individualized needs are met.

As a vital part of the patient-centric care mission, the Pediatric Cardiology Program Coordinator develops expertise in various operational systems, including interdepartmental support for patients receiving care outside of Cardiology Services. This requires self-initiative, exceptional social skills, and emotional intelligence to effectively navigate complex psycho-social needs and facilitate collaboration among faculty and staff.

In pursuit of optimal patient satisfaction and outcomes, the Pediatric Cardiology Program Coordinator takes a proactive approach to data collection, analysis, and interpretation. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as Joint Commission standards and Centers for Medicare/Medicaid regulations, enables this professional to ensure compliance and drive quality improvement initiatives.

This position is an integral component of direct patient education efforts, aiming to provide patients with comprehensive access to clinical services and health education information necessary for informed decision-making.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a healthcare environment (3+ years)
  • Strong knowledge of Patient Rights & Responsibilities
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with Windows-based software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

We offer a competitive salary of approximately $65,000 per year, reflecting the market rate for this role within the San Francisco Bay Area.
