Job Summary:

The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the school system's leadership team, responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all personnel services to attract and retain quality staff, enhance morale, improve operational efficiency, and maximize educational benefits to our students and the community.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement personnel-related programs, policies, and services
• Participate in contract negotiations for all bargaining units
• Supervise and evaluate the Substitute Coordinator, Payroll and Benefits Coordinators, and Human Resources Executive Assistant
• Collaborate with principals, directors, and coordinators to anticipate and plan for all personnel needs
• Plan and direct a program for recruitment, selection, assignment, and retention of all professional and support staff
• Manage employee relations issues and facilitate the resolution of problems
• Ensure legal compliance in all personnel-related areas
• Coordinate staff training and legal notifications as mandated by state and federal law
• Oversee the payroll process and personnel, with input from the Assistant Superintendent of Finance & Operations
• Oversee the benefits process and personnel

Qualifications:

• Licensed as PHR or SPHR by the SHRM or Human Resources Certification Institute
• Master's Degree in Human Resources, Management, or a related field preferred
• Successful administrative leadership experience
• Demonstrated skill in conflict resolution, negotiations, and labor relations, as well as expertise in diversity and equity
• Demonstrated ability in staff recruitment, selection, supervision, and evaluation
