Job Title: Communications Payloads Program Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communications Payloads Program Manager to join our team at General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI). As a key member of our program management team, you will be responsible for directing all phases of the program from inception through completion, including cost, schedule, and technical performance for communications payloads development, test, and fielding on GA-ASI aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct all phases of the program from inception through completion
  • Responsible for cost, schedule, and technical performance for communications payloads development, test, and fielding
  • Execute internal and customer-funded development and test efforts, both in laboratory and in field settings
  • Knowledge of current DOD C4 systems capabilities and employment
  • Experience with flight testing and flight operations of C4 payloads on tactical aircraft
  • Experience with pod-based C4 systems
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in engineering, science, or a related technical field
  • Eleven or more years of progressively complex program administration experience, with at least five years managing programs
  • Previous experience developing/fielding DOD communications systems
  • Knowledge of operational employment considerations and principles for DOD C4 systems
  • Strong interpersonal skills and extensive experience working with external customers
  • Working knowledge of engineering fundamentals related to communications payloads and waveforms (Link-16, SINCGARS, HAVEQUICK, MUOS, UFO, etc.)
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance and demonstrated ability to hold a SAP/SAR clearance
