Objective: To assist the Head of Housekeeping in organizing and supervising the cleaning of guest accommodations and communal areas, while managing the housekeeping team effectively.

Core Responsibilities: To ensure the cleanliness of the entire establishment in accordance with company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the housekeeping division as required, prepare room assignment documentation for cleaning staff, and allocate daily tasks to maintenance personnel.
  • Oversee the management of all personnel within the department.
  • Foster positive working relationships and collaboration with other departments.
  • Collect all room assignment documentation and keys at the end of the shift, ensuring all floors are secured.
  • Ensure all staff members are equipped with the necessary tools to perform their duties.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the Maintenance team to address any issues promptly.
  • Enforce cleanliness and safety standards in guest rooms and public spaces.
  • Conduct daily inspections of rooms to verify compliance with established standards.
  • Assist in supervising the replenishment of all linen storage areas.
  • Document all lost and found items.
  • Coordinate and relay any follow-up actions or issues to guarantee guest satisfaction.
  • Help maintain all departmental cleaning logs in line with company standards.
  • Be prepared to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as the establishment operates 24/7.
  • Engage with hotel staff and guests in a courteous, professional, and service-oriented manner.
  • Adhere to hotel and brand standards to ensure the safety of all guests and employees.
  • Report any maintenance equipment concerns to the supervisor.
  • Notify the supervisor of any health, safety, or hazard-related issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated reliability and punctuality.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and complete tasks efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills are essential.

Education/Experience:

  • At least two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role within housekeeping or a related field.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.

Language Proficiency:

  • Understanding of the English language.
  • Ability to convey and communicate ideas and information clearly and effectively.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of PC operations and familiarity with a Windows operating system. Willingness to learn the hotel's property management system.

Physical Requirements:

  • May need to lift, move, or push up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Standing, walking, or bending is required for the majority of the shift.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
  • Must be able to work under supervision, accepting and understanding guidance and feedback.
  • Professional appearance is mandatory; uniforms and name tags must be worn at all times.
