As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on our Med Surg team at CHI St. Alexius Health Dickinson, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team. We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented individual to assist with patient care, perform various tasks and procedures, and contribute to the overall success of our department.
Responsibilities- Assist with patient care and perform tasks under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Hospital Provider
- Take vital signs, apply oxygen, and perform simple wound care
- Prepare sterile fields for suturing and assist with treatments as needed
- Collect urine specimens and perform phlebotomy
- Assist with patient transports and transfers
- Answer telephones, file documents, and greet patients/visitors
- Transcribe provider orders and assist with electronic data entry
- Contribute to the maintenance of department equipment and supplies
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification by the ND Department of Health
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Strong oral communication skills and ability to deal with conflict
- Strong critical thinking skills and knowledge of regulatory agencies
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment
