Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team at Carolinas Staffing Solutions. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and heavy machinery in a fast-paced outdoor environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair diesel engines and heavy machinery including forklifts, man lifts, excavators, and dozers.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and implement repairs or recommend further action.
  • Perform pre-operational checks to ensure equipment is safe and operable.
  • Pick up and drop off heavy equipment at various job sites as directed.
  • Ensure equipment is properly loaded, secured, and transported in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Adequately adhere to safety standards and company policies at all times.
Qualifications:
  • Basic mechanical knowledge of diesel engines and heavy machinery operation.
  • Ability to diagnose issues with engines and hydraulic systems; basic troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license; forklift and heavy equipment certification preferred.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various outdoor conditions.
Compensation:

$17.27 per hour, with benefits after a probationary period.
