The Ultrasound Technologist performs all ultrasound techniques and examinations, abdominal scans, retroperitoneal scans, gynecologic scans, and other anatomic areas as required.

He/she provides appropriate age-specific patient care to the following patient populations: infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • Meets the requirements for registry by the ARDMS

Responsibilities:

  • Performs ultrasound examinations and techniques
  • Provides patient care to various age groups
  • Meets qualifications for registry by the ARDMS

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year minimum experience in ultrasound
  • One year experience as a radiologic technologist

Required Certifications:

  • Current ARRT registry
  • Current ARDMS registry
  • Current BCLS certification
