Job Title: Senior Director of Data Management

SILAC Insurance Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Director of Data Management to lead the development and implementation of data management strategies that align with our business objectives.

Job Summary

The Senior Director of Data Management will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of our data management framework, ensuring data quality, security, and accessibility across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data management strategy that aligns with organizational objectives.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to integrate data management practices into business processes.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies in data management and incorporate them into the organization's strategy.
  • Establish and maintain robust data governance frameworks to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security.
  • Oversee the selection and implementation of data management tools and platforms.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Software Engineering, and Security leaders to enhance data architecture and infrastructure.
  • Define and implement data integration processes, including data sourcing, transformation, and loading (ETL).
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data management professionals.
  • Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation effectively.
  • Foster a growth and collaboration with the data team and IT teams to ensure success.
  • Implement systems to monitor and maintain the quality of data throughout the organization.
  • Resolve data-related issues and drive continuous improvement in data handling practices.
  • Communicate data strategies and insights to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in information management, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a data management role, with at least 5 years in a leadership position.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing data strategies in a large organization.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and data protection laws and practices.
  • Experience with modern data management tools and platforms.
