Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Akron Children's Hospital. The successful candidate will utilize their expertise to evaluate and treat patients with physical, educational, or psychosocial disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess patients with a variety of disabilities, utilizing professional knowledge and behaviors to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, family members, and team members to ensure seamless care.
  • Document patient progress and provide education to patients and families, adhering to division protocols.
  • Supervise COTA/Ls, volunteers, or students as required, ensuring compliance with OT regulations.
Requirements
  • Experience in vision therapy is preferred, with a strong background in occupational therapy.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within an organization, with experience in healthcare a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
  • A Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy is required, with certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy and current Ohio state licensure.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred, with no experience in supervising.
