Mathematics Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Russell County Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

• Develop and administer mathematics curriculum aligned with school district goals and objectives.
• Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes individualized and small group instruction.
• Design and deliver lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Assess student learning and progress, and adjust instructional methods to meet individual needs.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of student activities, achievement, and attendance.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning community.

• Virginia State Certification as a Mathematics Education Teacher (#029 or #229 as appropriate).
• Bachelor's degree in education or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Successful prior teaching experience in mathematics education.

This position requires the ability to work in a standard office and school building environment. The successful candidate must be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues, and maintain accurate records of student activities and progress.
