Renewable Energy Assurance Manager

RWE Renewables America, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Renewable Energy Assurance Manager to join their team in the United States.

The ideal candidate will own the RWECE HSSE (Health, Safety, Security, and Environment) Assurance and Development Programs across the RWECE High Risk contractors base.

This role will work closely with contractors, procurement teams, and operations groups to establish tools and processes for contractor selection, assurance, performance, and development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for contractor HSSE assurance and development.
  • Collaborate with legal teams, business units, procurement teams, and operational H&S teams to ensure effective implementation of HSSE policies and procedures.
  • Improve prequalification, requalification, and evaluation processes, providing performance data through sustainable systems that support continuous improvement.
  • Establish supplier onboarding processes that educate contractors on RWECE's HSSE management system expectations.
  • Develop and deploy associated systems, tools, and dashboards to manage HSSE Contractor Performance across the RWECE Procurement organizations.
  • Serve as an HSSE Program liaison for contractor outreach, communications, and the management of performance improvement plans as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in supplier quality management, compliance program management, IMS auditing, Continuous Improvements Methodologies, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working with Suppliers, Contractors, Engineering, Procurement, and/or Supply Chain Groups in a Corporate environment.
  • Experience in developing and managing Supplier Management Software such as SAP, Areba, Avetta, ISNetWorld, etc.
  • Certification or equivalent experience with Quality Management Systems and 8D/CAPA Methodologies.
  • Preferably certified internal Auditor according to ISO 9001, 45001, and/or ISO 14001 or interest to obtain this education.
  • Detail-oriented, with sustainable practices; striving for high-quality and accurate results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to manage customer relationships.
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams.
  • Strong leadership and communication, and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables.
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally, the company offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, employee assistance program, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
