As a Radiation Therapist at Henry Ford Health, you will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology in radiology therapy at our state-of-the-art facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Administer radiation treatments to patients, as prescribed by the physician, utilizing specialized equipment including linear accelerator, High Dose Rate (HDR) Afterloader, and Computed Tomography.
- Work under general supervision to ensure accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
- A.R.R.T. Radiation Therapy Technology Certification or registry eligible.
- Normal office environment with minimal exposure to noise, dust, or extreme temperatures.
- Lifting of patients, moving & pushing wheelchairs/stretchers and lifting of equipment, above head, up to 50 lbs.
- Potential exposure to radiation; however, adherence to safety procedures minimizes likelihood of danger.
- Frequent interaction with emotionally depressed and terminally/critically ill patients.
