Job Summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a compassionate and adaptable Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care to seniors in various locations within a 150-mile radius from home address. This opportunity offers competitive pay, mileage reimbursement, flexibility, and no contract requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, and obtaining and recording vital signs.
  • Provide psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned residents.
  • Assist residents with meals and snacks, provide water and supplements as appropriate.
  • Document resident interactions and outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary.
  • Communicate resident's changing condition and care-related concerns/responses to the charge nurse.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum age of 16.
  • Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
  • Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position.
