We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Therapist to join our team as a Supervisor Respiratory Therapy at HCA Florida Largo Hospital. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading our team of respiratory therapists to achieve exceptional patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate the respiratory needs of patients and develop/implement individualized Respiratory Care Plans.
- Supervise and lead a team of respiratory therapists to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies to provide the best possible care for our patients.
- Conduct regular quality assurance and performance improvement activities to ensure our respiratory care services meet the highest standards.
- Completion of an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree); Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years Respiratory Therapist experience; critical care and intubation experience preferred.
- Clear/active Florida license as Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required; New hires/transfers must obtain within 6 months of hire.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required; New hires/transfers must obtain within 6 months of hire.
