Job Summary
The Henry Ford is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Porter to join our team. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Trash Management: Regularly monitor and empty trash to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Assist Chefs: Provide support to our chefs in assigned kitchen projects, ensuring seamless execution of tasks.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean, store, and maintain all kitchen pots and pans, as well as operate the dish machine and maintain the dish machine area.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform weekly maintenance of fryers, hood vents, and sweep and mop floors as needed to ensure a safe working environment.
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to effective team management, addressing problems, issues, and opportunities in a proactive manner.
- Communication and Leadership: Demonstrate good communication skills, follow instructions, and lead by example to promote a positive and productive team culture.
Requirements
- Education: High School Diploma preferred.
