Sales Operations Specialist Compensation:
Starting at $21 to $25 per hour, based on experience +
Commission Structure:
Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
Role Summary:
The Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for executing all facets of our sales engagement process and strategies, coordinating business activities for accounts, and implementing PARR's sales initiatives. This role primarily supports the sales team by generating quotes, processing orders, and assisting in managing construction timelines.
The Sales Operations Specialist will receive daily guidance from the Outside Sales Representative and report to the Regional Sales Manager. Regular interactions will occur with Yard Managers and corporate staff, including the Central Purchasing Department, Account Management Team, and IT Department, as well as vendor representatives and industry partners.
Qualifications:
- Familiarity with building materials or experience in the construction sector is essential.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven ability to cultivate relationships.
- Proficient in using personal computers, smartphones, scanners, and other necessary equipment.
- Ability to type 40+ WPM and ten-key by touch.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Capability to implement PLC selling strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Knowledge of PLC selling principles and practices.
- Willingness to share departmental responsibilities to meet deadlines.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients in the residential construction sector.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers and facilitate the timely delivery of building materials to job sites.
- Utilize and promote the PARR Bridge Strategy.
- Set and strive to meet personal sales and profit objectives.
- Play a crucial role in enhancing customer relationships and ensuring timely material shipments, contributing to account profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate delivery commitments.
- Maintain customer profiles in Outlook or CRM systems.
- Ensure workspace cleanliness and follow best practices in order entry and delivery setup.
- Walk customers to products in-store and manage open orders for timely invoicing.
- Accurately process plans and submit details to the MES and/or EWP.
- Adhere to SPC guidelines and maintain proper GP%.
- Complete purchase orders promptly and confirm details.
- Answer phone calls with a professional demeanor and confirm customer material needs prior to delivery.
- Maintain material specifications and customer documentation.
- Ensure high follow-through on orders, including inventory arrival and customer communication.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds and carry objects over distances.
- Capable of working in an office environment.
