Rural Mail Courier

Estimated salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year

As a Rural Carrier Associate with USPS, you will be responsible for delivering mail to customers along a prescribed rural route. Your primary duties will include:

• Casing and delivering mail using a vehicle
• Providing customers on the route with a variety of services, including package handling and delivery
• Loading mail in the vehicle and preparing it for delivery
• Delivering mail to customers along the prescribed route on a regular schedule

You will also be required to collect monies and receipts for accountable mail, pick up mail from roadside boxes, and return undelivered mail to the post office.

In addition to these duties, you will be responsible for maintaining records of change of address information, preparing mail for forwarding, and conducting special surveys when required.

The ideal candidate for this position will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
